Children And Families Practice Worker Level 3

This is a rolling advert and applications are taken on an ongoing basis An exciting opportunity has arisen to work within the Family Assessment and Support Team (FAST) as a 'Sessional' Emergency Social Worker. As a qualified Social Worker you will be registered with HCPC with at least 2 year's experience of children's social work. You will work with the Out of Hour's duty team, evenings, weekends and standby shifts when required. Evening and weekend are office based and standby shifts are worked from home from 9 pm - 9am. The standby shifts attract an additional payment of £75 per standby with any calls being charged at the hourly rate. You will need to be experienced in risk assessment and able to work autonomously, liaising with other out of hours services as appropriate to ensure children and young people are safeguarded. Experience of undertaking s47 enquiries is essential and being ABE trained or a willingness to train is desirable. You will have experience of crisis intervention work and be confident / competent with out of hours working and have the ability to prioritise competing demands. Good written and communication skills are essential, as well as a proven ability to work with vulnerable children and families that are in crisis or at risk.
